Festool working together with BTG

Over 90 years of passion for high-quality power tools meets 45 years of enthusiasm for logistics and customised transport solutions.

Festool was searching for a suitable service provider – and found what they were looking for in BTG Plochingen. Perfection is a tradition at Festool. Festool shares its passion for high-quality power tools with users and fans alike. The tools simplify the work of professional craftsmen and help them achieve a perfect result faster. More than 350 patents, more than 80 awards for products and companies and, above all, satisfied customers speak for Festool’s innovative strength.

In 1925 shareholders Albert Fezer and Gottlieb Stoll funded the company „Festo“. In 1927 they produced the first portable chainsaw and in 1930 the first mobile circular saw. In 1992 Festo transferred its tools division into Festo Tooltechnic GmbH & Co. KG. In 2000, with its separation from the group, the former subsidiary was then transferred to Festool GmbH.

Every year Festool participates in numerous trade fairs at home and abroad. The task assigned to BTG Plochingen consists of selecting the requested stored exhibition stands and displays, as well as machines and accessories according to Festool’s event-specific specifications, packaging them safely for transport and delivering them just-in-time to the trade fairgrounds throughout Germany and Europe. BTG Plochingen stores all models of machines and accessories on offer by Festool: Therefore, for correct picking and a good functioning handling, it is vital that all processes are well thought through and perfectly organised.

At the end of an exhibition, BTG Plochingen arranges collection from the exhibition site, the return transport to the logistics warehouse and the subsequent inspection of the exhibits. The logistics team led by Tobias Meyerhoff and Tanja Kälberer are doing an excellent job: the previous trade fairs in Switzerland, Poland, France, Great Britain, Cologne and Nuremberg were all mastered with great success.
